I've just spent 10 hours in a car by myself and here are a few of my thoughts:
1. If Che Guevara had had a theme song, it would have definately been "We're Not Going to Take it" by Twisted Sister. I mean, let's be honest, that song is pretty motivating stuff. It's the perfect battle cry for any revolutionary. I'm not even sure exactly what Dee Snider is fed up with, but after listening to that song, I sure as heck am not going to take it anymore.
2. The morons who decided to put all the passing lanes on uphill slopes have clearly never driven a car like mine. It has all the power of a kitchen blender and can't speed up on hills in order to pass the slower vehicles. It makes interstate life very frusterating. It also makes me wish I could afford a nicer car.
3. Colorado City is a really really creepy place. It looks like the set of a made-for-tv horror movie.
4. I hope Chief Yellowhorse lives forever.
5. Taxis with a great deal of dents and damage don't inspire much confidence.
6. If I had a theme song, I would want it to be "Back in Black" by AC/DC. Not that I relate to the lyrics at all--I'm certainly no rock god--but there's just something about it that gets me all pumped to be alive.
7. Ten hours in a car is nothing after driving from Utah to New York.

My sweet Erin Thornhillarious your writing always makes me laugh! I've always thought the same thing about taxis and even questioned getting into a few roughed up ones myself. Well, got to go listen to We're not going to take it--love you! You're going to have so much fun!!!!!
Long live Chief Yellowhorse!!! He's got a bad-a car! Also, once my family and I tried to stop through Colorado City late at night to find a place to stay. After about 5 minutes we were on our merry way!! VERY creepy!
